Hour-by-Hour Itinerary: An Adrenaline-Fueled ATV Ride to Apukunaq Tianan

08:45 - 09:00 hrs: Hotel Pick-Up: We begin the adventure with a direct pick-up from your hotel (or designated meeting point at the Main Square) to board our tourist transportation.
09:00 - 09:30 hrs: Transfer to the Sencca Area: We will head north of Cusco for about 25 minutes until reaching our operations base in Tica Tica, within the Sencca sector.
09:30 - 09:45 hrs: Safety Briefing and Practice: Upon arrival, our technical staff will provide the necessary protective equipment (helmet and gloves) and a short training session on how to operate the ATV. A practice session will be included to ensure you feel comfortable driving.
09:45 - 10:30 hrs: ATV Route through Andean Trails: Let’s start the engines! We begin an exciting 45-minute guided ATV ride along dirt roads and trails surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and spectacular panoramic views.
10:30 - 12:00 hrs: Guided Visit to the Abode of the Gods: We will arrive at the impressive Apukunaq Tianan complex. We will leave the ATVs and take a 1.5-hour guided walking tour to explore the colossal handmade sculptures over 10 meters high, such as Pachamama, the Puma, and the Andean Man. You will have free time to walk around and take creative photos.
12:00 - 13:00 hrs: Return to Base and Back to Cusco: We will ride the ATVs back to the Tica Tica base to return the safety equipment. Afterwards, we will board our tourist transport back to Cusco city center, concluding the tour.

Faqs

No formal driver's license or advanced experience is required. Our ATVs are stable and easy to operate. In addition, before starting your tour at Sencca, you'll have 15 minutes of guided practice with our instructors to learn how to accelerate, brake, and control the vehicle with complete confidence.

The standard rate of USD 89.00 applies to the use of a single ATV per person to ensure maximum safety and maneuverability on the dirt trails. If you wish to ride as a duo (driver + passenger), please contact our sales representatives directly to inquire about special rates.

To ride a four-wheeler on your own, the recommended minimum age is 14, always with the permission and under the direct supervision of your parents. Younger children may participate in the tour as passengers on a two-seater four-wheeler driven by a responsible adult.

Since these are Andean dirt trails, it’s normal for dust to kick up along the way, especially during the dry season (May through October), so we suggest bringing a handkerchief or bandana to cover your face. The route is moderately challenging and fun, combining flat sections with gentle, very manageable mountain slopes.
