Peru's Most Iconic Trek, Step by Step to Machu Picchu
The Inca Trail is regulated to protect the route. Limited availability is the most important factor for your reservation.
Only 500 people are allowed to enter the Inca Trail each day (including guides and porters). Permits for the 2026 high season (April to October) generally go on sale in October/November 2025 and sell out within hours.
Recommendation: To ensure your experience on this legendary route, you should book and confirm your permit at least 8 to 10 months in advance.
We offer you the two most popular official routes. Choose the challenge that best suits your pace.
