Itinerary

Day 1: Trip from Cusco to Aguas Calientes.

The day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco around 8:30 a.m., from where you will depart by tourist transport to the train station in Ollantaytambo. During the journey, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Sacred Valley, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and Andean fields.

Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, you will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, a journey of approximately two hours. Along the way, you can appreciate panoramic views of forests, canyons, and the imposing Urubamba River. Once in Aguas Calientes, you will go to your hotel to check in.

You will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the town, visit the artisan market, stroll through its streets, or, if you wish, relax in the local hot springs. In the evening, around 7:00 p.m., one of our staff members will meet with you for an informational briefing, where you will receive all the necessary details for the following day's visit.

Day 2: Visit to Machu Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain

Very early in the morning, you'll begin your day with a bus transfer from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. At 7:00 AM, you'll start your tour of the citadel (Circuit 2), accompanied by a professional guide who will show you the most important points of interest and explain the history and significance of this majestic archaeological site.

After the guided tour of Machu Picchu, you'll head towards the entrance of Huayna Picchu Mountain, with a scheduled start time of 9:00 AM. The ascent is self-guided, as guides are not permitted on the mountain. The hike is challenging but spectacular, offering unique views of the citadel and the surrounding natural landscape. The total round-trip time is approximately 3 hours, depending on your pace.

After your experience on Huayna Picchu, you'll walk back to the exit of Machu Picchu, where you'll board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. You'll have free time for lunch and to explore the town before heading to the train station for your return journey.

In the afternoon, you'll board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. Arrival is expected around 6:00-7:00 PM, concluding an unforgettable experience.
