Itinerary

Trip from Cusco to Aguas Calientes

At 08:30 am we will pick you up from your hotel, starting the journey to the train station in Ollantaytambo. During the trip we will enjoy beautiful landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and small towns until reaching the Inca town of Ollantaytambo.

Once in Ollantaytambo, we will board the train that travels through the Sacred Valley of the Incas until reaching Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, you will have the afternoon free to explore the town and optionally visit the Mandor Waterfalls. We will spend the night in Aguas Calientes. At 19:00 pm we will have a briefing with the guide at your hotel reception.

Machu Picchu Tour

Very early we will go to the bus station to ascend 400 meters over 25 minutes along a zigzag road until reaching the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel. The view is impressive; we will enjoy a guided tour so you can better understand the history and architecture of the Inca city. You will be amazed by the constructions and temples, as well as the natural surroundings.

On the way back to Aguas Calientes, you will have free time to relax and have lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we will take the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our staff and transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

No, the tour includes the standard entrance to the citadel circuit (Machu Picchu Llaqta). If you wish to add the Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain hike, you must request it at the time of booking, as it has an extra cost and is subject to availability.
