Along the route, you'll pass through lush cloud forests, admire spectacular Andean mountain landscapes, and discover the magnificent archaeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Inca sites on the entire trail. The adventure reaches its highlight as you enter Machu Picchu through the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you'll enjoy your first unforgettable panoramic view of the Lost City of the Incas.

Perfect for travelers with a moderate level of fitness, this trek provides a rewarding alternative to the classic four-day Inca Trail while preserving its most memorable highlights. Your journey includes panoramic train transportation, professional guides, entrance tickets, comfortable accommodation in Aguas Calientes, and a comprehensive guided tour of Machu Picchu on the second day. You'll have the unique opportunity to experience both the peaceful afternoon atmosphere and the magical morning light over the citadel, maximizing your time at one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Combining adventure, culture, nature, and world-class archaeological heritage, the Short Inca Trail is an ideal experience for couples, families, and anyone seeking an authentic journey into the heart of the Inca civilization.
