The main advantage of this tour is that it replaces the strenuous 2-hour hike along the traditional route with an ATV ride. Upon arriving at the base of Qosqopata, there is only a light, relatively flat walk of about 25 minutes to reach the main viewpoint of the Mountain of Seven Colors.
The summit of Vinicunca reaches 5,100 meters above sea level. At this altitude, the weather is cold and the air is thinner. It is extremely important to have spent at least 1 or 2 days acclimatizing in Cusco before taking the tour. Our team always travels equipped with first-aid kits and oxygen tanks to provide immediate assistance if you experience symptoms of altitude sickness.
ATVs are designed for individual use for safety reasons in mountainous terrain. A minimum age of 12 to 14 years is recommended for independent riding, always under parental supervision.
